I’ve been home four days and still trying to catch up on my sleep. Eleven hours over three nights just doesn’t cut it for this old lady!

But, did I mention we had a blast? Cuz we did. And it was worth being tired all week!

Hello Kitty!

Angry Birds. I took it just for Joey.

I had a blast this weekend!

Let’s start at the very beginning and skip to the end, shall we?

(this is the beginning part)

This is Abbie (on the left) and two of my childhood friend K’Lynn’s four girls. K’Lynn and I grew up next door to each other and have remained friends all this time. We were in each other’s weddings and at the births of each other’s babies. Our kids grew up friends through their early years.

Abbie and I went to Vegas for Jeneen’s wedding. Jeneen is K’Lynn’s oldest, she’s the same age as Caleb. I photographed the wedding and Abbie did all the ladie’s hair and then assisted me.

Before I get to the wedding pictures I wanted to look at the pictures of the last night we were there. Because other than the wedding, it was my favorite part of the weekend.

K’Lynn and I headed out the last night with some of the kids.

We talked

later that night:
Me: Abbie, what was Staci whispering to you in this picture?
Abbie: I have no idea! I don’t even remember that!
Me: MmmmHmmmm
Abbie: Grin

We laughed

We walked

We escalated

We posed

We had such a blast! I loved hanging out for 4 days with Abbie. I loved spending time with K’Lynn. I loved that Abbie and Jeneen, Melanie, Staci, and Rachel reconnected. I loved that we had so much fun and laughed til our sides hurt…

…but,

I hated Vegas.

and you are practically from PoDunkVille and are more at home in berks than pumps, fleese than, um, well…

my point exactly, I don’t know what comes after fleece…

you haven’t bought a thread of new clothing in 2 years…feel completely out of your element and know you will stick out like a sore thumb…

What do you do?

I don’t know about you, but I call the girl who knows me best. You might think my sister, and you’d be close. You might think my BF, and yes, she would def come in handy…

…but my daughter knows exactly what’s in my closet.

“bring your jeggins and your new black boots, your black cami and those two flouncy tops, the black and white and the magenta and black; um…the short white and black checked skirt, black tights, your long black skirt, a black tee, and don’t forget your danskins. Oh, and I have a pair of VS sweat pants that are too big, I’ll bring them for you. Don’t worry, Mom, we’re gonna have a blast!”

Thanks Abbie. I’m looking forward to 4 days away with my style guru and glam queen! Oh, and my BF will be there too. I think I can get excited now!
