Mom came through her surgery with flying colors! The surgeon reported that everything went better than planned, and after a very very long day of waiting Mom began to open her eyes tonight. She is still intubated, and quite sedated, but she recognized us when we took turns seeing her and even nodded when we said goodnight. Dad’s presence was quite stimulating and the nurses had to kick him out; her blood pressure would shoot up each time he talked to her once she was more aware. You can imagine the jokes we all made!
Things are looking very good, but tomorrow we will know more after her labs come back as far as how her kidneys are doing. They are very weak and very diseased from diabetes. Please continue to pray for her recovery. We all, here at the folk’s house are encouraged and feeling very optimistic. Thank you all for your prayers!
